The Asian Economy and Development Economics
要旨Abstract
「アジア経済・開発経済学」分野での研究は，「超長期・比較・非市場的要素の重視」という特徴を備えており，この分析枠組みが有効であることを示している．しかしここ３０年の間に開発経済学（経済学）と地域研究（アジア経済研究）との間の方法論上の溝はますます深まっている．この深まる溝をどう埋めるのか，今後とも『経済研究』の果たすべき役割と責務は大きい．
Research works in the field of “Asian Economy & Development Economics” have common characteristics of long-term comparative studies, and of attaching importance to non-market factors, and they show the validity of these common frameworks of understanding. However, in the last 30 years or so, the methodological gap between development economics and area studies (Asian economy) is still more widening. How to bridge this gap? We expect Keizai Kenkyu (The Economic Review) to bridge this gap and to contribute more in these fields.
