RICH Project: A New Household Survey

要旨Abstract

　本稿では，現在進行中の家計資産管理アプリを活用して家計収支データを収集するプロジェクト(Realtime Income and Consumption of Household：RICH プロジェクト)の概要を説明する．家計資産アプリとは，銀行口座やクレジットカードの明細を集約するWeb上のサービスであり，家計収支情報を自動で収集する機能を持つ．これまで，家計収支情報は政府の統計調査で収集されてきた．しかし，既存の家計収支調査には，研究者・エコノミスト等から多くの批判がある．RICHプロジェクトによって，これまで批判されてきた多くの問題を解決することができる．長期のパネル構造を持つユニークな家計収支データが構築可能であり，新たな家計行動分析が可能になる．

　This paper overviews the Real-time Income and Consumption of Household (RICH) project that has launched a new household survey. To facilitate this survey, a private finance management application automatically records household expenditures. This feature is important because household spending is difficult to measure. Therefore, this serious data issue within the field of household economy is reviewed, and the RICH project is evaluated in this context.
