要旨Abstract

　1980年代以降ゆらいでいるといわれる日本的雇用慣行について，中長期的な観点から議論したのが，『正規の世界･非正規の世界』（2017年，慶應義塾大学出版会）である．出版以来，いくつかの重要な指摘を受けてきたが，とくに主要な主張に関わるデータがリーマン･ショック以前の2007年に留まっていることが問題視された．本稿では，データを2012年まで延長し，リーマン･ショック以降についても本書の主要な主張，とくに長期雇用慣行の代理変数とした大卒勤続5年以上の被用者の十年残存率と，非正社員と自営業の人口に対するシェアの負の相関は変化がないことを示す．ただし，2012年の総務省『就業構造基本調査』の調査票改訂により，自分の労働契約期間がわからないとする被用者が相当数いることがわかっており，後者の主張は，これらの被用者をどう解釈するかに依存するかもしれない点も確認された．

　The book, Standard Workers, Non-Standard Workers, gives empirical evidence on the manner in which the Japanese labor markets maintained long-term employment and the increase in the number of non-standard workers was counterbalanced by the decline in the informal sector such as the self-employed. The present study extends the data from 2007 to 2012 and confirms that the aforementioned phenomena are observed even after the financial crisis. However, the decline in the informal sector might depend on a compromise on the revision of the questionnaire in the Employment Status Survey, which reveals that non-negligible of the employees are unaware about the length of their employment contract.
