欧州新興市場の教育収益率 －－メタ分析－－
A Systematic Review of Return to Education in Eastern Europe
要旨Abstract
本稿は，先行研究43点から抽出した848推定結果のメタ分析を行うことにより，欧州新興市場における教育収益率の時系列的変化の把握及び国家間比較を試みた．抽出推定結果のメタ統合は，欧州新興市場地域全体として，教育収益率は時を追って逓減する傾向にあることを示唆した．また，中等教育と高等教育の区別に依らず，地域西部に位置する国々の教育収益率は，東部諸国のそれを上回るという意味での西高東低傾向の存在も明らかとなった．文献間異質性のメタ回帰分析及び公表バイアスの検証も，メタ統合結果と整合的な分析結果を示した．
This paper conducts a systematic review of 43 research works to identify time trend in return to secondary and tertiary educations in Eastern Europe. A meta-synthesis of 848 collected estimates suggests a decreasing trend over time in return to education in six East European economies. Synthesis results also indicate that the western countries in the region tend to have a higher return to education than the eastern counterparts. Both the meta-regression analysis of literature heterogeneity and the test for publication selection bias produced findings that are highly consistent with the meta-synthesis results.
